When I first heard the term ‘vertical farming’ I had a vision of boxes of plants attached perpendicularly to an outside wall of buildings. I had it wrong of course. Vertical farming involves boxes of plants stacked up vertically inside a building. Why do it? What are the pros and cons of doing it? Who in Australia is doing it?
